I personally have an experience with fox pepper spray from 1996 when I worked in the security field. The fogger model came in handy more than once, and stopped an intoxicated aggressor in his tracks. He was writhing with pain. I’ll never forget that. Anyway, I recently bought several more cans for self protection and one for my wife. They are the only company I’ve seen that carries the antidote wipes. Back in the old days, if someone was hit with pepper spray, they either flush with lots of water, or just stand in the breeze and wait awhile. I highly recommend Fox.

I bought the Mark 4 Cop top in a 3 ounce can last year. Actually both the fogger and the stream model. The fogger is awesome because it covers a wider area, but the stream has a longer range. Where I work, we can’t carry firearms or tasers, so I keep both of these at work, and carry the fogger on my side. There are a lot of times when we are already at close range with shoplifters, so the fogger is perfect. I give Fox an A+!!

At 5.3 million SHU, and with having a lower ratio of oleoresins (which tend to dilute the “heat” bearing capcaisin), the burning perception from Fox Labs pepper spray is instantaneous and overwhelming. I prefer the fliptop for saftey reasons. I am confident that large dangerous animals, with sensitive noses, would recoil and flee after being sprayed by Fox Labs 5.3.

Also, I the brand of pepper spray in this video wasn’t specified, but it clearly shows the reaction of a fully mature, male African Lion being sprayed in the face with again an unknown OC spray. This was on Discovery Channel’s “Untamed and Uncut” television series.
